After reading lots of reviews and looking at a dozen mats, this one fit what I was looking for at a price I was willing to pay. I didn't find the smell offensive at all and it has in fact faded. The mat is a nice color (I have the black and blue one) and I like the way it feels. It is pretty thin, so if you are looking for one that is extra cushiony, this is probably not your mat unless you are going to layer another mat underneath. I am not sure if it's just because I sweat a lot, but during my last yoga class I was slipping. I had just cleaned it before class so it might have been a little damp though, because I didn't notice that much slippage during the previous classes. The next time I clean it I won't do it just before class and I'll see if it makes a difference. Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend the mat.
Non Toxic and Great Colors! - Eco Mama's Guide To Living Green -
This moss/lavender natural rubber professional yoga mat from Natural Fitness is visually appealing but also non toxic, sustainable and renewable. It's very comfortable, lightweight and does not have an odor. Sometimes even natural yoga mats will have a bit of off-gassing in the beginning, but this one is good to go. I realize some reviews state there was an odor, but mine did not have this at all. It's extra long to lenghthen your poses.
Being the visual creature that I am, I really appreciate the unusual colors Natural Fitness offers in their products. If you love your gear, you will enjoy your activity more. Why buy a mat that's not eco friendly when these are available?

This is a great mat. Since it's double-sided, it works great for all our workouts. It has a textured side that's perfect for yoga, and the other side is more durable for our other workouts when we use shoes. Make sure you unroll it and put it outside for a few days before you use it so it can air out. After that, it's great.
